This Privacy Statement ("Privacy Statement") explains how Shiprack ("Shiprack", "us", "our", and "we") uses your information and applies to all who use our web site, mobile applications, or electronic services we offer that link to or reference this Privacy Statement (collectively, the "Site"), and when you receive electronic communications from us. Please read this Privacy Statement carefully and review it periodically for the latest information about our privacy practices. By using this Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree with the practices described in this Privacy Statement, please do not provide us with your personal information or interact with the Site.
Types of information we collect
Use of authentication services, and social media
In order to protect the personal information we collect from you and make them available only to you, we use authentication mechanisms. We provide you the option to use 3rd-party authentication services. So you have three options to authenticate and identify yourself with Shiprack - using your Google account, or using your Facebook account, or creating a Shiprack account on our servers. We use these services only for authentication (so we can determine you are who you say you are). We do not and cannot access your Facebook and Google+ data, such as social posts, private messages, and likes. We do not post to your Facebook timeline, or post to any Facebook pages, on your behalf. Similarly, we do not use your Google account for anything other than authenticating you. We do not and cannot use it to access your Gmail, or other Google products, or post to Google Plus on your behalf.
How do we use this information
The emails you forward to us are used to extract shipment tracking numbers provided by shipping carriers. We also extract the description of the item being shipped, and an image identifying it. This information is only used for displaying it to you on all the devices that support Shiprack - iOS devices, Android devices, and our website. It is only displayed to the user who provided us with that information. We do not share it with any third parties. We do not share it with the advertising networks we use to display clickable banner ads. It is also used by our engineering teams for the purpose of testing our products and analyzing customer usage patterns. All non-personally-identifying information is also only used for the purpose of creating a better user experience for our products.
